Travel grants
We are pleased to offer a limited number of travel grants to facilitate participation in the 2nd International Conference on Human-Wildlife Conflict and Coexistence. If you wish to apply for such support, please read the information and instructions below. Once applications open, you can submit your application using the form that will be linked at the bottom of this page.
Applications for travel grants will open on 1 September and close on 31 October 2026.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 15 November 2026.

Funding is limited, and submitting an application does not guarantee support. Applications will be reviewed against the available funding and the criteria below.
Eligibility
You do not need to have already registered for the conference in order to apply. However, priority will be given to applicants who meet the following criteria:

applicants who are residents in a country not classified as high-income according to the World Bank classification;

students from any country;
-
applicants who have submitted an abstract for a talk, poster or a session at the conference or are involved in a session submitted by someone else.
Grant types
The following categories of support are available. You can apply for only one of these:

Conference registration waived or reimbursed

Funding towards travel costs (either $500 or $1000)
Successful applications

If you are awarded a registration fee waiver, we will send you a form to register and confirm your place in the conference. If you have already registered and paid, we will reimburse your ticket.

If you are awarded a travel grant, we will give you either US$500 or US$1000 in cash in person at the conference in Bangkok on 3 March 2027. Your award letter will confirm this arrangement.
