Instructions for presenters

On the day of your session, please arrive at your session room at 08:00 so we can upload your presentation to the presentation laptop. Please bring it along on a USB and include your full name and the title of your session in the filename. A member of the conference team will be available in the room to assist you. You will not be able to use your own laptop to present. We will provide you with a presentation clicker so you can advance your slides. All sessions, excluding interactive sessions, will be recorded. If you do not want your presentation to be recorded, please let us know beforehand. Please ensure you arrive at your session room 20 minutes before the session starts to allow us time to provide you with a microphone. Please ensure that you finish your session on time. If you do not finish on time, it impacts the presentation following you. If you are speaking as part of an interactive session or panel, your session chair will manage the timings for the session.

Presentations

Presentations should be a maximum of 12 minutes in length, allowing 3 minutes for questions. The session moderators will be keeping a close eye on timings to ensure that all speakers have the chance to present their talks in full. It is therefore important to be sure that your presentation is kept to 12 minutes at most. We strongly recommend submitting your presentation to us the day before your scheduled session to avoid any delays or technical issues during your session.

Speed talks

Speed talks are expected to be no longer than 5 minutes in duration and will be followed by questions. Once all the talks have been presented, speakers will station themselves in separate areas of the room in order to interact with delegates who are interested in learning more about their work. We strongly recommend submitting your presentation to us the day before your scheduled session to avoid any delays or technical issues during your session.

Posters

Posters should be portrait-oriented and no larger than A0. Posters will need to be printed by yourself and brought along to the conference (we are not able to print any posters). The poster session will be held in the Marquee, and posters can be placed on the boards provided from 08:00 on Friday, 31st March. The posters can stay up until the close of the conference. Please use the Velcro provided by the conference organisers. It will be your responsibility to remove your poster at the end of the conference. Any discarded posters will be recycled.

Speaker room

You are welcome to use the speaker room throughout the conference. This is located on the ground floor, Room 8. There will be a presentation laptop and screen in the room if you wish to run through your presentation.
