Travel grants

Through the generous support from several of our collaborators, we are able to offer a limited number of grants for delegates from non-high-income countries to attend the conference. These grants may cover one, or a combination of, the following:

  • Return economy flights or other economy class travel to Oxford
  • Accommodation (in university colleges for maximum 29th March - 4th April)
  • Conference registration fees (1-3rd April 2020) and (if applicable) training workshops (30-31st March 2020)

Grants do not cover travel to and from departure airport, further travel within the UK, food or drink expenses incurred outside of the conference registration fee, conference dinner, other expenses incurred by the grantee (e.g. travel insurance etc.)

There is limited availability for grants, submitting an application does not guarantee funding. Priority will be given to applicants who are residents, of or whose main institutional affiliation is with organisations based in countries not classified as high-income (see World Bank classification), are full-time graduate students of any country, and who have submitted an abstract for the conference or are participants in an organised interactive session. Applicants who do not meet these criteria may be considered but given limited funding for grants are very unlikely to be given priority.
